Crockpot Turkey Meatballs

I still remember my first time making meatballs.  It was such a production and I big mess in my kitchen.  I used 3 different meats and I fried them in oil and made homemade sauce and I only made them on a Sunday, never during the week.

Now I make meatballs any day of the week and with this recipe there is no mess plus they are healthy!  I ALWAYS double up on this recipe because you can use the leftovers all week!!
  • 1 package of ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs (whole wheat if you can find)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl.  Use a melon scooper to make meatballs and place them in crockpot.  Cover with sauce* and cook for on low for 4-6 hours.

* Married to an Italian I would never buy sauce in a jar UNTIL I discovered Rao's.  It tastes like homemade and is super healthy with only 3 grams of sugar.  On a rare occasion I may do a homemade sauce but really this nearly as good and the only sauce I will buy!
