21 Day Fix EXTREME vs. 21 Day Fix. Both are GREAT!

I was about 1/2 way through Insanity Max 30 and wasn't seeing the results I thought I would.  My stamina was up and I was feeling super strong but I had not changed up my diet at all since the holidays.  I wasn't seeing any changes on the scale or in my clothes. Yes, I eat healthy BUT through the holidays and into January I was eating a little bit to much and to much of the healthy stuff adds up. I know it's a problem when my yogurt looks like a dollop on my mound of granola in the morning. The bottom line is you can't out exercise a bad diet and I wasn't feeling the healthiest.  It was time to get dialed back into my nutrition!

Out came my 21 Day Fix containers and meal plans.  If you don't know the 21 Day Fix is a fitness and nutrition program that is all about portion control and uses a color coded container system so you know exactly what to eat and how much to eat based on your weight and goals.  You combine that with 30 minute a day workouts that come with the program and you get GREAT results!  I stuck with Insanity Max 30 (I only had 21 days left) followed the 21 Day Fix eating plan AND I got back in the groove with my eating.  Even my workouts improved!

The thing I LOVE about this program is you eat a balanced diet throughout the day. I was very unbalanced before, I was heavy on the carbs and probably wasn't getting enough fruits and veggies in my daily diet.  That's totally changed!

NOW I am 6 days into the 21 Day Fix EXTREME and I am LOVING this program!!!  I have to be honest when I first heard about this new program I thought it might not be for me.  I wasn't sure I wanted to jump right back into another intense program after Insanity Max.  BUT I had the opportunity to try an Extreme workout, LIVE with Autumn in January and that was all I needed to know that the 21 Day EXTREME would be my next program.  I always love a good challenge!

The workouts are intense but not in a fanatic, crazy intense way.  You use weights and resistance bands with all the workouts and that's what ups the game!!  And the nutrition component is still based on portion control and the color coded container system.  BUT there is no treats or wiggle room - no wine or chocolate for 21 days.  It's 100% clean eating and that is going to CHANGE your body when you combine that with these workouts! And really what's 21 days in the scheme of things?!  There is also a "Countdown to Competition" meal plan you can follow for even quicker results.  I'm just sticking with the regular program.

I am sore but happy.  I love the feeling of using weights again and find myself pushing hard in the workouts.  The workouts go so fast . . . 30 minutes is over so quickly and you will be sweaty.
I've been hungry this first week and that has been tough.  I am contributing it to adding of weights into my routine.  It's been hard to stay within my container allotment but the trick that's helped me if I am really hungry is I've added an extra green (veggies). Here's the thing that is really keeping me motivated . . . I'm seeing and feeling the changes.  Seriously, my tummy is completely flat and I know you may have thought it is always that way but it is not.  I've had 3 kids and I have that little roll that will pop up and hits right at the pants  - not a good thing.

What's my personal goal? I don't have a weight loss goal (I hit that in the first 21 Days I followed the program), I want to eat clean and have balance in my diet and I am trying to get more toned and defined.  And my husband and I are going to Cancun for 5 days on Beachbody (I love this company) and I want to feel my best!

So 21 Day Fix or  21 Day Fix EXTREME?

Both are great for anyone who wants a simple and easy way to get their nutrition and fitness back on track and see results!  The 21 Day Fix EXTREME is for:

1.  21 Day Fix Graduates that are looking to take it to the next level.  As well as anyone that has completed a Beachbody program and want to change it up.  Change is good.

2. People who want results fast.  Are you getting ready for vacation, wedding, high school or college reunion or want results to keep you motivated to continue.

You need to be ready to commit to 21 days.  NO EXCUSES.  It is my job to make sure you are not alone.  You will be part of an online support and accountability group and I will coach you through the entire program from start to finish!.  I provide you with daily accountability, tips, recipes, meal plans, and we get to cheer each other on and be there to give that much needed support that is so key to everyone's success! My challengers are seeing amazing results and feel great and have changed their habits to live a healthier lifestyle.
